Rapid Semi-Dome Construction

With the appeal of being easy enough for one person to assemble, the dome brings a touch of charm to our courtyard!
"With the intensifying impact of global climate change, agricultural production and infrastructure in remote areas face severe challenges, including damage to crops and infrastructure caused by extreme weather, as well as limitations in resources and resilience. This technology focuses on designing new dome-shaped 3D connectors, applied to agricultural and recreational dome facilities in rural areas of Taiwan.

This technology has already been implemented in practice, with multiple dome structures constructed, including campus exhibition platforms, garden healing trellises, farm greenhouses, and community activity spaces, demonstrating its ease of construction and versatility of application. During the testing phase, both static and dynamic load tests, as well as finite element analysis (FEM), were conducted. Through the innovative modular connector design, construction efficiency has been significantly improved, while accommodating various materials and scenario requirements. We continue to promote and explore the application of dome structures under extreme climates and different environments, advancing their adoption in green architecture and sustainable agriculture."
