This is a gel-based product designed for wound care. Its primary function is to absorb wound exudate and form a moist, protective environment on the wound surface, aiding in wound care and protection.
The formula is composed of water and Sodium Alginate, consisting of approximately 90% water and 10% Sodium Alginate. Upon contact with wound exudate, it forms a gel state that helps maintain wound moisture and reduces the impact of external irritation on the wound.
Aquas+ Sodium Alginate Gel (Non-Sterile) 20g is suitable for wounds with tissue exudate, including first-degree and superficial second-degree burns, abrasions, lacerations, and scabbed wounds. To use, first cleanse the wound and surrounding skin with physiological saline and pat dry. Then, apply the product evenly onto sterile gauze or directly onto the wound surface to a thickness of approximately 5 mm. Subsequent dressing changes can be performed based on the amount of exudate and care requirements for daily wound management.
