Forte Biotech is a Singapore-based biotechnology startup developing on-site molecular diagnostic tools for rapid disease detection in aquaculture and livestock.
Our flagship solution, the RAPID diagnostic platform, is a portable, PCR-equivalent test kit that delivers early and accurate disease diagnosis in shrimp within just one hour. This empowers farmers to take timely action before outbreaks escalate, reducing losses and improving productivity.
We currently operate in 9 countries across Asia, working with over 90 partners, including feed distributors, hatcheries, and commercial farms. Our test kits cover key shrimp pathogens such as EHP (Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei), WSSV (White Spot Syndrome Virus), AHPND/EMS (Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease), and TPD (Translucent Post-Larvae Disease).
Beyond aquaculture, the RAPID system is designed for adaptability across livestock sectors– including poultry, bovine, and swine– where routine surveillance and fast, on-site decision-making are critical to protecting animal health and ensuring sustainable production.
