ICM Agriculture Alliance, founded by JH Biotech Inc, will launch the Practice of Prevention Agriculture during 2024 TAIWAN SMART AGRIWEEK
JH Biotech Inc., a global pioneer in plant and animal protection and nutrition, has aligned with GROUP GAIN BIO-AGRI CO, LTD., TAIWAN HOPAX CHEMICAL INDUSTRIAL CO. LTD., AGRO-GREEN INTERNATIONAL CO., and SHANDONG DUOFEN AGRICULTURE CO, LTD., to create the ICM Agriculture Alliance (ICMAA). Jointly, they will launch theory and innovative products focused on “Prevention Agriculture” during the 2024 TAIWAN SMART AGRIWEEK, September 11th - 13th at the Taipei Nangang International Exhibition Center, Taiwan.

Integrated Crop Management (ICM) is a concept that combines prevention and correction strategies for sustainable and profitable crop production. Prevention strategy emphasizes the use of eco-friendly inputs to enhance soil and plant health. Correction strategy emphasizes the early detection and correction of the nutrient deficiencies and pest infestation of crops for healthier growth and higher yields. The goal is to prevent the symptoms of nutrient deficiencies and pest infestations from occurring on a large scale before they manifest, emphasizing the principle, “ Prevention surpasses Correction.”
JH Biotech Inc., a bio-based fertilizer and pesticide manufacturing company located in California of the United State, takes the lead to launch the ICM Agriculture Alliance of 6 companies along with their global distributing partners working together to revive ICM. “The idea of ICM has come out for decades. It is not a new concept, but we give it a new life through the modern application of fertilizers and pesticides to the plants and soils”, said by Dr. John Hsu, the president of JH Biotech.
“We know very well the knock-down effects of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, but the damage to plants and the degradation to the soil they cause are also notorious. If we don’t revise it, the adverse effects will come back to our food, our bodies, and our environment. And unfortunately, we have seen it now.” Dr. Hsu added.
ICM programs integrate prevention and correction methods in an ecological approach to crops, and prevention should surpass correction. Scientific research have shown that plants diseases and pests can be corrected in early stages by alternating applications of biological products, botanical and minimum risk plant protectants. Cdrop yields are thus increased, and product quality can be improved through the implementation of holistic ICM programs and practices.
Companies within the ICM Alliance not only offer a wide range of nutritional products but also feature various microbial and natural products alongside several pesticide products, as shown below. This diverse product portfolio aligns well with the promotion of ICM programs.
Furthermore, ICMAA not only provides customers with holistic service in different stages of plants growth but also serves a la carte product portfolio. Customers can simply choose the products they need from the ICM program. Therefore, ICMAA serves not only as an integrated crop management solution but also as an integrated product management solution, offering farmers the most convenient choices.
In addition to the abundant product portfolio, the ICMAA will organize a seminar elaborating the ICM programs and prevention agriculture during the 2024 TAIWAN SMART AGRIWEEK. By promoting ICM globally and tailoring agricultural management solutions to different regions, the industry can not only improve agricultural productivity and sustainability but also contribute to environmental conservation and economic development on a global scale. “We will show the audience more field evidence to elucidate why our ICM programs can play a key role on the way to sustainable agriculture. Sustainable agriculture is a big issue. ICMAA is dedicated on what you can see the changes in the real world.” Dr. Hsu added.
ICMAA has established a global distribution network which covers the markets of the USA, Canada, Central and South America, Australia, New Zealand, European Union, Middle East, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, and China. ICMAA welcomes visitors all over the world drop by to our booth during the 2024 TAIWAN SMART AGRIWEEK, sharing your experience and discussing the opportunities for business collaboration on the goals of sustainable agriculture, prevention agriculture, and the circular economy.
