Denmark Combigas 52°C High-Temperature Biogas Power Generation System

The Danish 52 °C High-Temperature Biogas Power Generation System is designed for regions with hot climates and prolonged rainy seasons. By integrating heating pipes inside the digester, thermophilic bacteria cultivated at 52 °C accelerate the treatment of swine manure, reduce hydraulic retention time, and prevent the decline in mesophilic bacterial activity typically observed at around 42 °C.

A 3,000-ton digester can be paired with a 200 kWh biogas generator, while co-digestion with other organic waste streams can boost output to 500–600 kWh. The Danish-engineered system incorporates jet mixing, electronic process control, exhaust gas purification, and waste heat recovery to maximize biogas production, power generation efficiency, and resource utilization.
The Danish Combigas 52 °C High-Temperature Biogas Power System employs thermophilic bacteria technology, maintaining a stable fermentation environment at 52 °C to significantly enhance organic matter decomposition and reduce hydraulic retention time (HRT). Compared with conventional mesophilic anaerobic systems, this high-temperature process breaks down swine manure and agricultural by-products more efficiently, lowers pathogen residues, and reduces the load on digestate treatment.

The system supports co-digestion, enabling the flexible use of food-processing waste, crop residues, and other organics, which increases the electrical output of a single digester from 200 kWh to 500–600 kWh. Its design integrates jet mixing technology to ensure uniform fermentation and smart electronic controls to monitor temperature, gas composition, and pressure parameters in real time, ensuring stable and reliable operation.

In addition, the system includes an exhaust gas filtration module and waste heat recovery unit, improving biogas quality and recycling excess heat for digester or facility use. This maximizes energy conversion efficiency and contributes to resource circularity. The technology not only provides farms and agricultural parks with a reliable supply of green electricity and heat but also significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions, achieving both environmental protection and long-term energy sustainability.
