In 2012, we built ""SD tilapia"" strains. The male ratio of SD tilapia is up to 95%.
There is no use of male hormone or other drugs. In addition, SD tilapia is large size, fast-growing, heavy fillet, low feed conversion rates, and excellent resistance to disease, etc., better than rest strains.
In 2011, we stationed and cooperated with Taiwan Fisheries Research Institute, Council of Agriculture to explore for tilapia genetic breeding techniques. We also got technology transfer of Taiwan red tilapia TsR and marine tilapia strains from Taiwan Fisheries Research Institute to develop new varieties.
