Company Profile

In the 15th year of the Republic of China (ROC), our university was officially established under the name "Taipei Provincial Ilan Agricultural and Forestry School." It remained so until the 87th year of the ROC when it was elevated and restructured as "National Ilan Institute of Technology." In August of the 92nd year of the ROC, our university officially changed its name to "National Ilan University," becoming the first national university in the Ilan region. The university consists of four colleges, a liberal arts division, seven college-level research centers, and four institute-level research centers, boasting excellent faculty and research capabilities across various fields. The university is also well-endowed with abundant hardware and software resources. Leveraging its innovative research and development capabilities and guided by the core principle of education and practice, the university utilizes various departmental resources, subsidies, and initiatives to revitalize the local Ilan area as the only national university in the region. The university aspires to be a hub for industry innovation, promoting local autonomy and sustainability in Ilan.

On August 1, 2021, the university established the "International Industry-Academia Alliance" to actively integrate internal and external research and development capabilities. Through cross-institution and interdisciplinary collaboration, the alliance compiles and promotes patented technologies and critical technologies needed by enterprises, providing integrated services. This includes talent training courses, visits, exchanges, research result presentations, promotional activities, and exhibitions. The alliance aims to facilitate effective links between industry, government, academia, and research institutions, fostering collaborative projects and licensing/technology transfer initiatives. It executes domestic and international industry-academia collaborations to accelerate the commercialization and industrialization of research achievements, expanding their impact.
