Company Profile
The Department of Forestry and Natural Resources at National Ilan University is dedicated to cultivating professionals with dual expertise in "Forest Ecological Conservation" and "Smart Technology Applications." In the face of global challenges such as climate change and labor shortages, the department emphasizes the use of innovative technology to protect natural resources. Through practical transformation, we aim to upgrade traditional forestry and agriculture into high-efficiency, low-risk smart industries.
By integrating resources from the university's "UAV Application Research Center" (led by Professor Chung Chih-Hsin’s team), the department demonstrates exceptional R&D and execution capabilities, transforming the industry through the following core technologies:
Precision Monitoring: Utilizing drones equipped with advanced image monitoring systems to analyze the growth of forests and crops, effectively replacing time-consuming manual inspections.
Smart Application: Leveraging AI decision-making platforms for precision spraying of fertilizers or pesticides. This enhances production efficiency while preventing occupational hazards associated with traditional manual labor.
Digital Carbon Reduction: Establishing low-carbon management models and achieving precise carbon footprint control through reduced fertilizer usage and electric-powered equipment, fulfilling ESG sustainability goals.
