NFU Agricultural Research and Extension Center

Based on the Regulations Governing Agricultural Research, Education, and Extension Cooperation issued by the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan (now upgraded to the Ministry of Agriculture), our center was established to assist agricultural extension organizations and agencies in addressing challenges related to farm management and rural development. We collaborate and maintain liaison with agricultural research and improvement stations as well as agricultural-related colleges and universities, develop extension training materials, and organize educational training sessions alongside demonstration and extension activities.

Currently, the center's main operational projects include:Running the "Farmers' University" (a self-managed initiative);Managing the "Huweixi Community College" under local government projects;
Executing the Ministry of Education's "University Social Responsibility (USR) Project" and "Platform for Promoting Industry-Academia Linkage and Talent Cultivation";Promoting the "Participatory Guarantee System (PGS), Organic Agriculture, and Eco-Friendly Farming Groups";Advancing the "Yunlin Granary Project – Maguang Organic Group Cultivation Zone";Guiding the "Transformation of Agricultural Enterprises";Executing self-acquired industry-academia cooperation projects.

Through the implementation of these projects and local industry-academia cooperation services, we aim to cultivate the talent needed for grassroots agriculture. Furthermore, by integrating agricultural enterprises, agricultural-related institutions, public sector entities, and our university's long-term team of expert agricultural mentors, we provide professional advice on agricultural technology, marketing, and operational management to help drive the transformation and upgrading of local agriculture in Yunlin.
