From experienced farmer's expertise to AI data Agro-Green explores new generation management models for Taiwan's agriculture

With Taiwan's agriculture facing multiple challenges such as an aging population, laborshortages, and climate change, how to effectively pass on the years of field experience accumulated by veteran farmers and combine it with emerging technologies to improve management efficiency has become an important issue for agricultural development. Agro-Green International Co Ltd stated that the future of agriculture not only requires experience,but also data analysis and smart technology to assist decision-making, creating a new generation of management models that combine inheritance and innovation.
The aging of the agricultural sector is intensifying, making the transmission of experience an important issue

According to statistics from the Ministry of Agriculture, the average age of Taiwan\'sagricultural workforce continues to rise. Many farmers, with decades of cultivationexperience, can identify potential problems by observing crop leaf color, growth vigor, orenvironmental changes. However, with changes in the rural population structure andinsufficient youth involvement, the inability to effectively pass on this valuable experiencecould become a hidden concern for future agricultural development.

AI and smart agriculture: Transforming experience into verifiable data assets

Agro-Green believes that the core of smart agriculture is not to replace farmers, but totransform experience into an accumulative, analyzable, and replicable knowledge systemthrough technology. In recent years, technologies such as IoT sensors, environmentalmonitoring equipment, AI image recognition, big data analysis, and precision droneoperations have been gradually introduced into agricultural production sites, helping farmersto grasp field conditions in real time and improve management efficiency and decision-makingquality.

For example, field sensors can collect real-time environmental information such astemperature, humidity, and soil moisture; combined with AI image recognition technology,they can help detect signs of pests and diseases and carry out preventive management inadvance. The introduction of unmanned agricultural drones and smart applicationtechnologies is also driving agricultural management towards precision, labor-saving, anddigitalization.

The plant doctor system integrates experience, technology, and professionaljudgment.
In addition to advancements in technological tools, the plant doctor system promoted inrecent years has also established a more professional plant health management system forTaiwanese agriculture. Agro-Green stated that plant doctor not only possess expertise in pestand disease diagnosis and plant health management, but also combine field experience withscientific data to help farmers identify the root causes of problems and provide more precisemanagement advice. This combination of professional diagnosis and smart technology helpsimprove the stability of agricultural production and the efficiency of resource utilization.

Agro-Green International Co Ltd will also participate in the Taiwan Smart Agriweek Exhibitionthis year, sharing its achievements in plant health management, smart monitoring, droneapplications, and sustainable cultivation.
