Taiwan Smart Agriweek 2026 Opens with Focus on Technology, Sustainability and International Business

Taiwan Smart Agriweek 2026 opened today at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (TaiNEX) Hall 1, bringing together agribusiness leaders, technology providers, buyers, researchers and policymakers from 69 countries. Under the theme “Converging Global Agribusiness,” the 12th edition features more than 400 exhibiting companies and is expected to welcome over 21,000 professional visitors during the three-day event.
From smart and automation technologies, equipment and key components to biotechnology applications in feed nutrition and microbial solutions, the exhibition presents a broad range of solutions designed to improve production efficiency, strengthen resilience, and address climate change and sustainable production challenges across agriculture, aquaculture and livestock.
International industry exchange began one day before the exhibition opened. On September 7, the 6th International Precision Animal Nutrition Forum and the 2nd Smart Aquaculture Production Conference took place first. From September 8–10, more than 20 professional forums, technical seminars and industry exchange activities continue across smart agriculture and AI applications, automation and agricultural robotics, precision animal nutrition, smart aquaculture, biotechnology, agricultural green energy, circularity and net zero, cold-chain technology, climate resilience and sustainable production.
A major opening-day highlight is the debut of the Global Agri-Food Innovation Championship (GAIC). Thirty-nine startup teams, with participating teams spanning eight countries — Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, India and the United States — are participating across AgriTech and FoodTech. Through competition, corporate matching, market validation and investment engagement, GAIC is designed to accelerate connections between emerging agrifood technologies and real market demand while strengthening links across the Asia-Pacific innovation ecosystem.
To turn international participation into measurable business outcomes, Taiwan Smart Agriweek is also running its Hosted Buyer Program and AI-powered Business Matching, enabling overseas buyers and exhibitors to arrange targeted meetings, identify potential partners and accelerate cross-border business opportunities.
