Taiwan Smart Agriweek 2026 Connects 63 Countries and Generates US$88 Million in Potential Business. AI-powered matchmaking, cross-border partnerships and agrifood innovation strengthen Taiwan’s connections with global markets
Taiwan Smart Agriweek 2026 concluded on September 10 after three days of international sourcing, technology exchange and business networking. The event brought together more than 400 exhibitors and over 21,000 industry professionals from 63 countries, generating more than 2,000 business meetings and an estimated US$88 million in potential business opportunities.
From smart agriculture and aquaculture to livestock technologies, automation, key components, feed and nutrition, and biotechnology, this year’s event highlighted Taiwan’s capabilities not only in products and equipment, but also in technologies, services and integrated solutions for global markets.
806 International Buyers Turn Connections into Business
A total of 806 international buyers travelled to Taiwan, seeking agricultural, aquaculture and livestock technologies, equipment and digital solutions.
Supported by Taiwan Smart Agriweek’s AI-powered business matchmaking system, exhibitors and buyers were connected according to specific sourcing needs, helping move conversations more efficiently from introductions toward practical business opportunities.
Several companies are already advancing international projects following the show. UBest Data expanded opportunities for its remote AI production-data monitoring solutions in Southeast Asia and Japan, while Sheng Feng Hsing Agricultural developed OEM/ODM and strategic cooperation opportunities with overseas agriculture, aquaculture and livestock companies.
Buyers from Malaysia also showed strong interest in Taiwan’s livestock waste treatment technologies and smart aquaculture systems, reflecting growing demand for solutions that improve productivity, sustainability and resource efficiency.
From Business Meetings to Cross-Border Collaboration
Beyond sourcing, Taiwan Smart Agriweek served as a platform for longer-term international cooperation, with projects and agreements spanning AI applications, fresh-food cold chains, ESG food supply chains and feed efficiency.
One example is the collaboration involving Feng Yu Aquaculture, Taiwan’s Fisheries Research Institute and partners in Okinawa and Indonesia to validate feed conversion performance in overseas production environments. Following proof-of-concept work in Okinawa, further market validation is being advanced in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.An official delegation led by Sabah’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry also attended the opening and visited agricultural facilities in Taiwan, exploring opportunities for cooperation in AI-enabled agricultural technologies.
Meanwhile, the Taiwan Cold Chain Association brought together 12 companies for the International Fresh Cold Chain Forum, connecting Taiwanese expertise with international partners and new market opportunities across Asia.
Global Agrifood Startups Connect with International Markets
Innovation was another major focus of the 2026 edition
The inaugural Global Agrifood Innovation Championship – Taiwan Edition (GAIC) brought together 38 startup teams from eight countries — Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, India and the United States.
Taiwan’s HYARKS was named AgriTech Champion, while South Korea’s Delivery Lab took the FoodTech title.
More importantly, business development continued beyond the competition stage. Delivery Lab moved forward with its second-phase Singapore project with Solmart after the show, while other participating startups entered discussions for overseas field trials, distribution partnerships and market expansion.
GAIC was designed not simply as a startup competition, but as a bridge connecting emerging agrifood technologies with investors, industry partners and real market opportunities.
25 Industry Programs Connect Expertise from 19 Countries
International knowledge exchange began even before the exhibition opened.
On September 7, the 6th International Forum on Precision Animal Nutrition and the 2nd Smart Aquaculture Production Conference brought international specialists to Taiwan for in-depth industry discussions.
During the September 8–10 exhibition, 25 conferences, technical seminars and industry sessions covered AI and smart agriculture, automation and robotics, smart aquaculture, precision nutrition, renewable energy, net-zero cold chains and climate resilience.
Together, the programs attracted more than 3,800 participants, with speakers from 19 countries, bringing international expertise directly into dialogue with industry needs.
Three Days of Exhibition. Connections That Continue Year-Round
