She is a WOAH Reference Laboratory expert for WSD and AHPND, specializing in shrimp diseases, host–pathogen interactions, biosecurity, and sustainable shrimp aquaculture.

Dr. Han-Jia Lin National Taiwan Ocean University
Dr. Han-Jia Lin is a Distinguished Professor at National Taiwan Ocean University, a Council Member of the Asian Fisheries Society, and President of its Taiwan Branch. He is a recipient of the Outstanding Research Award from Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council (NSTC).His interdisciplinary research integrates molecular diagnostics, biotechnology, and nanotechnology to address real-world challenges in aquaculture, with a particular focus on disease management and reducing antibiotic dependence. In recent years, his work has increasingly focused on connecting early detection, risk prediction, and targeted intervention to advance precision aquaculture.Dr. Lin is also the founder of Giant Bio Tech Inc., a university spin-off established to translate scientific discoveries into practical solutions for the aquaculture industry. His work bridges academic research and industrial application, with the long-term goal of improving aquatic animal health, production efficiency, and sustainability.
